My first (successful) candle.

I officially made my first candle. ON MY OWN!  This time I had zero assistance and I am loving the sample that I made!  I used an old mug (that I never use) and made an awakening scent using rosemary, orange blossom, and chrysanthemums.  I mainly used essential oil blends for this mixture but I did use some herbs to top it off for aesthetics.

I wanted to use scents that would stimulate me to stay focused.  I tested it out a few minutes ago and it’s utterly amazing.

After twenty minutes of enjoying the scent,  I propped open my laptop and just started blogging.  so… here I am.

My partner cancelled Disneyland on me today 😦  so I spent the evening making this candle instead 😀  ; I’m a happy camper.  What’s really nice about having a mug, as the candle holder, is that you can carry it around by the handle and not have to worry about it being hot or spilling. Clever, clever!  I’m still testing how long it can burn for but for now I’m just happy that this blend came out so much better than the first time I tried making candles on my own.  It’s taken many trials and I am super happy with the results.

Many Blessings,
