It’s been a whirlwind on the coast.

It's complicated.Insert silly face here. I’ve been on the road for the past four hours exploring the coast of Oregon.  If it weren’t for this silly face, and amazing cup of coffee, I’d probably be tripping over my feet.  Not that I’m not right now, already, in this cold forty degree high wind.  haha.

I started my day at a cute doughnut restaurant in downtown portland and a warm cup of house coffee sweetened with organic coconut milk. I’ve been on the road since!

The wind is rough on the coast, it rain has soaked through my jeans, my once curled hair is now damply pressed against my face, and that’s perfectly fine because I love the way it feels to overlook the ocean as the waves crash against the mountain sides.

img_3411My brother, nephew, sister and I spent most of the day visiting various coastal cities in Oregon:  the Devil’s Punch bowl, Depo bay, and Pacific City.  My makeup didn’t smear (yay eyelash extensions) and my  hair stayed put together for most of the rain.  The coast was beautiful.  The wind roared through the air, the waves were relentless, but the moment felt right.  It’s nice to enjoy life and to not get caught up in the rush of hustling in and out of work.

I’m a bit tired today and am likely going to cut my blogging notes short today.  I’m getting ready to lay my head but have thoroughly enjoyed the day.
