It is that time of the year again, another shift in the season, means a shift in facial applications! Right now I am still using my holy grail, Sheamoisture Kukui Nuts and Grape Seed Oils (Retail Value $13.00), as my main moisturizer. I’ve seen drastic improvements in my skin and a little truly goes a long way. My partner is constantly reaching for this product whenever he sees it.
I love the scent of this product, I usually react to strong scents but this really doesn’t seem to irritate my skin at all. It has a butter like consistency but it doesn’t feel thick or greasy when applied. As noted in my previous post, this product is: Commerce Friendly, Organic, Cruelty Free, Fair Trade. This product does not cause me to break out despite having acne prone skin. It is definitely a staple for the fall season going into winter soon. It’s been a savior moisturizing my skin with this dry heat and ashy air. (prayers for fire victims)
Dusty Girl’s “Earth Cream” retails for $20.00 and comes with a pump applicator. It is a vegan friendly, cruelty free, mineral cream that does wonders for my skin. I could wear this product every day, which in itself says a lot, because most people know that I only wear foundation 2-3 times a week. It is buildable but does not look cakey on your skin. It provides a matte finish, looks very natural, and a pea size really is enough for full coverage. Since I’ve opted for this new routine (you will see my facial skin cleanser below) my skin feels tighter and more youthful. Yay to collagen! I wear this cream for over eight hours, every time I apply it, and it does not clog or break out my skin at all. I can not say that about any other foundation I have ever applied. I hope that speaks volumes to this product. The one setback to this product, in my honest opinion, is the lack of shade ranges.
Last but not least, is Shea Moisture’s African Black Soap for acne prone oily skin. This item retails for $20.00 on their website and is so worth it! I’ve been using this item for over a month now and my skin is honestly glowing. My large pores are minimizing around my nose and cheeks. It feels really gentle while exfoliating and does a great job of not drying out my t-zone.
The combination of the three items has really given my skin extra room to heal from years of harsh products and I highly recommend all of these items (5.0/5.0). The fact that all of these items are also eco-conscious makes it even better.
