In a nutshell: biochemistry, galas, vintage finds.

I am four weeks into my biochemistry course right now.

Right… about that update, let me update you:  I found out many of the programs, I anticipate applying to next year, now have biochemistry as a prerequisite requirement.  In the past it was highly recommended but now it’s an actual requirement (who knew).  It’s been an interesting transition because it tests my discipline on whether I actually really want to go back to school.

Juggling work and school remain challenging.  My work schedule is irregular, chaotic, and requires me to be flexible 24/7 – essentially.  Imagine going into a different work schedule every week … and that is just the norm. Some days you work until 10 pm and the following day you are required to be in the office at 8:00 am.  It sometimes feels impossible to be present and provides no structure or consistency into my chaotic life.

I am reminding myself to look at the bigger picture, all of the time, and placing my faith in God and the road he is paving for me.  I am a firm believer of patience, hard work, and fate.  I believe there is a reason for everything – it’s just a matter of whether we choose to learn and grow from those moments.

Passion Project Updates.
I will be opening a vintage boutique soon!  It’s an exciting project I’ve been spearheading on the side for quite some time now. I’ve been planning it since December of last year but I finally put everything up and am all hands on deck, at this point!  I just need a few more items and should be ready to launch by the end of October.  It’s been a whirlwind up to this point!  2017 is definitely all about wrapping up loose ends and that is exciting.  Wish me luck.

With love,
